Lunch at The Ciragan Palace, Kempinski, Istanbul

by on May 31, 2011

One day I was taken by Anne and Cigdem for the biggest treat of all, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski to have lunch! I couldn’t get the front shot of the palace from street so these are photos from inside and out in the back of it. I was speechless when I stepped inside this only Ottoman Imperial Palace and Hotel by the Bosphorus where the majestic Sultans of the Ottoman Empire once roamed. I always try to imagine and picture what it would be like back in those days of the Ottomans painting in my mind the essence of their life.  I was overwhelmed with immense gratefulness as I nibbled on the culinary delights that melted in my mouth, savoring each bite while being surrounded by a view of  architectural grandeur and exquisite design. Cigdem and I after lunch ventured around and had a lot of fun exploring and just being our silly self’s. If  anyone comes to Istanbul trust me this should be on top of  your list of places to visit and have a little snack, a little more then that might set ya back a bit. The palace is Located in the city center, just a 45-minute drive from Ataturk International Airport.
